IN MEMORIAM: Mother Cynthia Hallas

Our hearts are heavy to announce that the Interim Rector of St. Barnabas, Mother Cynthia Hallas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, from a brain aneurysm. Our hearts and prayers are with her family as they grieve. +Rest eternal grant her, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon her. Amen+

From our Senior Warden: "I’ve had a hard time finding words to express my feelings about the loss of Mother Cynthia.   She had only been with us for a short while, but she fit in so perfectly that her absence has left raw emotions and a gaping void.  Some commented about her singing and the richness it brought to parts of the liturgy.  Others reflected that her warmth was so welcome.  She was with us for fewer than fifty days, but it feels as if we’ve lost an old friend.  She is not someone we can forget."
