Music for March 29, 9:30am Liturgy of the Word
Opening Hymn - Awake, O Sleeper
1. Awake, O sleeper, rise from death, and Christ shall give you light,
So learn his love, its length and breadth, its fullness, depth and height.
2. To us on earth he came to bring from sin and fear release,
To give the Spirit’s unity, the very bond of peace.
3. There is one Body and one hope, one Spirit, and one call,
One Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism, one Father of us all.
4. Then walk in love as Christ has loved, who died that he might save;
with kind and gentle hearts forgive as God in Christ forgave.
5. For us Christ lived, for us he died and conquered in the strife.
Awake, arise, go forth in faith, and Christ shall give you life.
Gradual Hymn - Come Down, O Love Divine
1. Come down, O love divine, seek thou this soul of mine,
and visit it with thine own ardor glowing;
O Comforter, draw near, within my heart appear,
and kindle it, Thy holy flame bestowing.
2. O let it freely burn, till earthly passions turn
to dust and ashes in its heat consuming;
And let thy glorious light shine ever on my sight,
and clothe me round, the while my path illuming.
3. And so the yearning strong, with which the soul will long,
shall far outpass the power of human telling;
For none can guess its grace, till they become the place
where-in the Holy Spirit finds a dwelling.
Closing Hymn - I Am the Bread of Life
1. I am the Bread of life, they who come to Me shall not hunger,
They who believe in Me shall not thirst.
No one can come to Me Unless the Father draw them.
Refrain:
And I will raise them up,
And I will raise them up,
And I will raise them up on the last day.
2. The bread that I will give Is My flesh for the life of the world,
And they who eat of this bread, they shall live for ever,
they shall live for ever. (Refrain)
3. Unless you eat Of the flesh of the Son of Man
And drink of His blood, You shall not have life within you
You shall not have life within you. (Refrain)
4. I am the Resurrection, I am the Life,
They who believe in Me Even if they die,
They shall live for ever. (Refrain)
5. Yes, Lord, we believe That You are the Christ,
The Son of God Who has come Into the world. (Refrain)

Information on March 21 Virtual Worship/gatherings
Dear friends in Christ, tomorrow morning we are suggesting that members of St. Barnabas join the diocese in virtually worshiping with Bishop Lee. (Worship will consist of Morning Prayer on Soundcloud, and Bishop Lee's sermon on YouTube. Both will be available starting early tomorrow morning. Listen and watch at your convenience.)
Then, tomorrow at noon, we as St. Barnabas will be joining together for an online Zoom meeting to pray together and check in with each other in a Virtual Coffee Hour!
Below are instructions for accessing both opportunities, as well as links and videos to music to deepen your worship experience.

Music for 3/22/2020 Lent 4
If you would like to deepen your worship experience and sense of connection to our community, the following is a list of the hymns we would have been singing together if we were meeting for our regular service. If you would enjoy listening to/singing those hymns, there are links and videos you can click.
Centering Song - Lord Jesus, Think on Me
Lord Jesus, think on me
and purge away my sin;
from earthborn passions set me free,
and make me pure within.
Entrance Hymn - Hymn 5 O Splendor of God’s Glory Bright
1. O splendor of God's glory bright,
O Thou that bringest light from light,
O Light of Light, light's living spring,
O Day, all days illumining:
2. Come, very Sun of truth and love;
Pour down Thy radiance from above
And shed the Holy Spirit's ray
On all we think or do or say.
3. With prayer the Father we implore:
O Father, glorious evermore,
We plead with Thee for grace and pow'r
To conquer in temptation's hour,
4. To guide whate'er we nobly do,
With love all envy to subdue,
To give us grace our wrongs to bear,
To make ill fortune turn to fair.
5. All laud to God the Father be;
All praise, eternal Son, to Thee;
All glory to the Spirit raise
In equal and unending praise.
Psalm – Psalm 23 Hymn 664 My Shepherd Will Supply My Need
1. My shepherd will supply my need:
Jehovah is His name;
In pastures fresh He makes me feed,
Beside the living stream.
He brings my wandering spirit back
When I forsake His ways,
And leads me, for His mercy’s sake,
In paths of truth and grace.
2. When I walk through the shades of death
Thy presence is my stay;
One word of Thy supporting breath
Drives all my fears away.
Thy hand in sight of all my foes,
Doth still my table spread;
My cup with blessings overflows,
Thine oil anoints my head.
3. The sure provisions of my God
Attend me all my days;
O may Thy house be mine abode,
And all my work be praise!
There would I find a settled rest,
While others go and come;
No more a stranger, nor a guest,
But like a child at home.
Offertory - Anthem – The Deer’s Cry A. Pärt
Our choir is hoping to do this in the future. It is a prayer of St. Patrick.
Here is a link of a beautiful rendition:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir3htl3UlBk
Communion - Hymn 490 I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QISk0oYYpuk
Offertory hymn at 8:00, and Closing Hymn at 10:30 - Hymn 671 Amazing Grace
- maybe we could sing this at the close of our Zoom meeting on March 22
Bishop Lee Suspends worship and other activities
