Feast of All Saints

The Feast of All Saints, on November 1, is  a feast day on which we remember all of those who were so filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit and exemplified such holiness of life that they reside in the presence of God in life beyond death. On this feast we remember and hold up as examples the lives of the Saints of the Church known and unknown. The Feast is also known in English speaking countries as All Hallows’ and actually begins on the evening of October 31—hence, All Hallows’ Eve or Halloween. The Feast of All Saints is one of the major feasts of the Christian year and is one of the seven feasts of the Lord during the year.
