Ministry to youth ages 11 to 18 is an important part of the life of our community. During the school year, the students meet on Sunday mornings as well as Wednesday evenings. Sunday mornings are a time for spiritual development and some of the lessons have centered around prayer, the saints, the Bible, Youth Alpha, and confirmation preparation. Wednesday evening youth group is run by Cathy Kuna and Angela D’Onofrio. This weekly meeting has a musical identity, as the students spend about half of each evening engaging with liturgical music both in conversation about the meaning behind sacred music, as well as with playing and singing music themselves.
We try to have our youth involved with as much of the life of our parish as possible. They've served in the worship band, as acolytes, on our mission trips, and during clean up days. This summer, 2019, the youth have opportunities to serve as counselors for Bible Building Camp on Sunday mornings. They will also be going on a campout together to build relationships, grow in their faith, and adventure together. On November 2, 2019, the students will again be participating Sleep Out Saturday to benefit Bridge Communities. The focus for the school year 2019/2020 will be service. Contact us if you would like your student to join us this coming year!
